We are excited to be attending 3DEXPERIENCE World in Dallas, Texas on February 11th-14th. One of our Senior MBE Engineers, Matt Patton, will be presenting at several MBD-centric events during the conference to educate and promote discussion amongst the community.
As a Senior MBE Engineer at Belcan, Matt advises companies in transitioning to utilizing annotated models throughout the product lifecycle instead of 2D drawings. Through the lens of 16 years designing products in various CAD software — including 13 years in SOLIDWORKS with a CSWP and leaning on his Senior level certification in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5-2009 GDTP-S) — he aims to help companies develop further understanding of best practices centered around effective models.

Within this presentation, we will showcase why workflow A’s approach to MBE is a great first step, and why workflow B’s approach is more valuable in the long-term. Additionally, we will talk about the essential strategic actions that must be at the top of your to-do list and how to measure the success of those actions as you embark on your journey to MBE implementation.
