Belcan Leadership Team

 

Lance Kwasniewski joined Belcan in January 1998. He has over 30 years of leadership experience within the construction, industrial equipment, and services industries. Lance’s career with Belcan has spanned over 25 years of progressively increasing responsibility, advancing from business development, central services management, and general management to senior leadership positions across multiple business units, consistently driving and producing exceptional business outcomes. He currently serves on the Board of Governors for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), along with several other board positions. Lance holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Pittsburgh, and completed Harvard Business School’s Executive Program.

 

Beth Ferris joined Belcan in July 2016. As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Beth Ferris is responsible for leading Belcan’s finance and accounting organization, including planning and analysis, financial reporting, and various accounting functions. Prior to joining Belcan, she spent over 20 years with LexisNexis, most recently serving as Senior Vice President Global Finance and US Division CFO. Ms. Ferris holds an MBA with a Finance concentration from Wright State University, as well as a BS Business Administration in Marketing from Bowling Green State University.

 

Kim brings nearly 20 years of experience leading technology initiatives in software & digital product development, including 12 years in the aviation industry. She has personal passion and hands-on experience designing cryptographic engineering systems, but has also delivered breakthrough outcomes leveraging AI, IoT, and AR/VR. She specializes in leading strategy and development of full digital systems and platforms that emphasize capabilities of emerging technology, but also combine modern approaches to software design, containerization, cloud optimization, and API communications. Most recently, Kim served as VP & Head of Digital Engineering for Bayer AG, driving strategy and product development for emerging technologies in the crop science, pharmaceuticals, and consumer health industry sectors as well as the product supply & manufacturing function across all business verticals. Kim holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MBA from Xavier University.

 

Dave joined Belcan in November of 2020 via the acquisition of Telesis. In his previous role as Chief Technologist for Belcan’s Government Solutions business unit, he was responsible for excellence in all aspects of innovation for program performance, organic growth, and expanding core capabilities, including satellite and radio communications, cloud services, software solutions, and next generation technologies. Prior to joining Belcan, Dave was the owner of Insight Engineering Solutions, Inc., serving as CEO and CTO. His experience includes a full spectrum of IT services, satellite communications, network design, software development, and help desk operations. Dave has been supporting the DoD for the last 20 years, assisting globally-deployed Military units and other organizations. He is an Army Infantry veteran, having served numerous units worldwide. This experience, combined with his IT background, gives him a unique perspective and insight into technology modernization to help solve problems and foster rapid innovation.

 

Paul Dorger joined Belcan in January 2018 and has over 28 years of labor and corporate law experience, including government regulatory compliance, federal and state litigation, protection of trade secrets and proprietary information, collective bargaining, and human resources and safety management. Paul holds a BBA in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame and is a former Certified Public Accountant with Arthur Andersen.  He obtained his law degree from the University of Cincinnati.  Paul has been listed in The Best Lawyers in America, named in the Ohio Super Lawyers Top 50 Attorneys in Cincinnati, and has been involved with many charitable organizations.

 

Since joining Belcan in 2000, Lindsay has held multiple roles across the business, starting her career in recruiting and talent management, then shifting into technical editing. She joined Belcan’s corporate organization in 2014, initially serving in sales operations, proposals, and market research until moving into her current position with responsibility for executive projects and corporate communications. Lindsay holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Arizona State University.

 

Neal Montour’s career with Belcan has spanned 28 years, including leadership roles as Senior Vice President, Vice President, General Manager, Strategic Account Management, and Customer Service Engineering Director. His overall engineering experience of 37 years includes analysis, design, and manufacturing roles with Pratt & Whitney, Lehr Precision (GKN), and Belcan. Mr. Montour holds a BSME from the University of Hartford and an AAS in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Erie Community College.

 

Keith joined Belcan in March 2017, bringing over 20 years of combined experience in the aerospace and automotive industries. He began his career in electrical engineering in the automotive injection molding industry, before joining Siemens in 2003 where he provided automation and manufacturing IT solutions to Airbus, BAE and Rolls-Royce. In 2010, Keith moved to the USA to head the Siemens Industry Aerospace Center of Competence based in Atlanta, Georgia. On returning to the UK, he was responsible for developing the power generation, marine, and medical device manufacturing sectors for Siemens. In 2014, he moved to Tata Technologies to lead the European A&D sales team before accepting the position of Senior Vice President of Global Strategy and Business Development.  Keith’s responsibilities at Belcan include leading the strategic approach in the Europe and APAC regions and promoting efficient and compliant international operations.     

 

Dave Brandel joined Belcan in May 2017 to enhance and further develop strategy around systems & software, define plans to develop service product offerings to enable execution of the strategy, identify opportunities to grow key accounts, and work with the teams to drive operational efficiencies. In that role, Dave drove organic growth by applying existing capabilities to other market segments and inorganic growth through two acquisitions that expanded both capability and service offerings. Prior to Belcan, Dave spent over 34 years at GE Aviation in engineering and executive leadership across many disciplines, including systems engineering, controls, software, analytics, diagnostics, engines, composites, structures, and quality. He led the nacelles, aerostructures, and propeller product line engineering teams, managed the GP7000 engine systems engineering team, started the remote diagnostics program while in services, and introduced the first electronic engine control to GE Aviation engines. Dave holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Purdue University and an MS in Computer & Electrical Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.

 

Steve Houghtaling joined Belcan in 2013, and throughout the past decade has held numerous senior leadership positions of increasing responsibility in Belcan’s operations, account management and strategic growth organizations.  He leverages Belcan’s domain knowledge and talent pool to provide exceptional engineering services in the aerospace, defense, MRO, and marine industries.  Prior to joining Belcan, Steve Houghtaling began his career at Hamilton Sundstrand as an aerospace design engineer and advanced to a seasoned engineering executive specializing in leading large, multidisciplined teams on complex aerospace projects.  He holds a BSME from the University of Hartford and completed the UTC Executive Leadership Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. As a longtime volunteer with Scouts BSA and classic car enthusiast, he is always eagerly awaiting a new endeavor or challenge.

 

Amanda Stapleton joined Belcan in 2016, bringing a strong background in systems and software development in the aerospace industry. She has held several important roles and responsibilities across the business, including establishing systems and software operations in the United Kingdom, directing European engineering operations, leading the Cincinnati delivery center, managing key customer accounts, and developing innovative digital solutions for clients. As VP of Software and Digital Engineering, Amanda is responsible for establishing strategies for new and existing digital capabilities for emerging industry needs. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and a Master’s in Project Management from Penn State, and is Vice President of the Rose-Hulman Alumni Advisory Board.  She also holds an MBA and Master of Business Analytics from Indiana University, Kelley School of Business. 

 

Dan Pleshko is President of Belcan’s Manufacturing and Supply Chain Solutions business unit, with responsibility for strategy, operations, and P&L. Previously, he spent 10 years at Lockheed Martin as Vice President over various corporate and business area functions including supply chain, quality, and operations. Prior to Lockheed, Dan spent 5 years at Goodrich Corporation as Chief Supply Chain Officer, 5 years at Flextronics as Vice President of Commodity Management, and 12 years at Compaq Computer in various senior executive roles. He started his career at Picatinny Arsenal working for the US Army on anti-tank missiles. Dan has a BS in Mechanical Engineering with technology option and has completed executive training with Harvard Business School. He also has served on advisory boards for many universities.

 

Wayne Lucernoni leads operations, strategy, growth, integration activities, and program execution for Belcan’s Government Solutions business. Wayne has spent his career in senior leadership positions in the defense and intelligence community. He was the former President of Harris IT Services before it was acquired by Veritas and also served recently as the Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) Group President at ASRC Federal. Wayne is a CPA who has held senior finance roles and also has experience running large complex government programs. He holds a Bachelor’s of Business Administration in Accounting / Economics from James Madison University, and has completed The Executive Program at the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Wayne is a thought leader in the industry who has helped shape technology innovation for the federal government. He has participated or served on numerous boards which focused on customers, technologies, non-profits, universities, and policy matters.

 

Don joined Belcan in January 2020 and has held significant roles in sales operations, account management, acquisition integration, and the key accounts organization, consistently driving performance improvements and achieving exceptional results. He brings over 15 years of experience in staffing and outsourcing, with responsibilities for P&L, regional operations, hiring, sales, training, and development. His previous experience includes VP of Operations, responsible for building, directing, and leading sales, account management, and recruiting delivery within engineering, manufacturing, and IT business units. Don has also provided operational leadership, developing and maturing business opportunities and leading strategic expansion plans. Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Cincinnati.   

 

As Senior Vice President of Strategy, David Silver’s responsibilities include developing and strengthening strategic relationships with Belcan’s key customers and driving new business in the aerospace and defense industry. He has accumulated over 25 years of leadership experience in aviation, most recently serving as Vice President of Civil Aviation for the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), where he used his expertise in aviation safety, certification, sustainability, and emerging technologies to collaborate with AIA members and advance public policies and positions beneficial to the industry and the United States. Prior to AIA, David served as the Director of Engineering & Regulatory Affairs for The Boeing Company in Washington D.C., where he worked extensively with both regulatory and legislative committee leadership. David served for 22 years in the Army National Guard as an Engineer Officer, with successive leadership roles culminating in Battalion Command and Assistant G3 for Washington State. David holds a B.S. in engineering and B.A. in political science from Arizona State University and an M.S. in engineering management from Washington State University. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society.
