Dave Brandel joined Belcan in May 2017 to
enhance and further develop strategy around systems & software, define
plans to develop service product offerings to enable execution of the strategy,
identify opportunities to grow key accounts, and work with the teams to drive
operational efficiencies. In that role, Dave drove organic growth by applying
existing capabilities to other market segments and inorganic growth through two
acquisitions that expanded both capability and service offerings. Prior to
Belcan, Dave spent over 34 years at GE Aviation in engineering and executive
leadership across many disciplines, including systems engineering, controls,
software, analytics, diagnostics, engines, composites, structures, and quality.
He led the nacelles, aerostructures, and propeller product line engineering
teams, managed the GP7000 engine systems engineering team, started the remote
diagnostics program while in services, and introduced the first electronic
engine control to GE Aviation engines. Dave holds a BS in Electrical
Engineering from Purdue University and an MS in Computer & Electrical
Engineering from the University of Cincinnati.
