Belcan recognizes that regular interfacing with members of Congress is a valuable means for communicating top priorities for the aerospace industry, facilitates a better understanding of important trends, and helps influence legislation that affects our business. In that vein, on December 9th we hosted an “Aerospace Business Roundtable” with Congressman Brad Wenstrup. He is a dynamic freshman Republican who has served our country in the military for the past 15 years and is one of only two Ohioans sitting on the powerful House Armed Services Committee. Belcan representatives included Mike McCaw, Lance Kwasniewski, John Bourneuf, George Vaughn, and Greg Haas. Industry and University representatives from GE Aviation, the University of Cincinnati, the Ohio State University, and others also attended. The Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) Government Affairs Committee organizes periodic roundtable events throughout the year.
