Systems Engineering (SE) focuses on meeting customer needs and functional requirements throughout the product development cycle, from requirements and concept definition through design, development, validation, production, and product support. SE considers the complete product creation process, including product performance, producibility, maintainability, safety, reliability while meeting program cost and schedule.
Systems engineers work directly with the customer to integrate all required functional disciplines, specialty groups, and processes into a single,
cohesive team effort to achieve the desired product objective. SE considers both the business and the technical needs of each customer with the overall goal of providing a quality product that meets the user's specific needs.
